This week, as part of the ICP - Beyond the Souvenir: A Multi-Regional Project for Authentic and Sustainable Hospitality Education, in collaboration with universities from Belgium, Vietnam, Uganda, and Ecuador, we made significant progress in our coordination! 🌍✨
We gathered to fine-tune crucial details, despite the different time zones 🕒. The key was aligning our schedules so that everyone could join and work on essential matters like the student selection process (scholarships, eligibility, and more!), the co-creation of course modules, and the online learning platform, which is already in progress 💻.
Here are some of the highlights:
We reviewed all the project details once again ✨.
Defined strategies for promoting the project, leveraging support from NGOs and embassies 🎯.
Advanced in the collaborative planning of course content, ensuring that the Toledo Ultra online platform is ready to be integrated into the curriculum 📚.
Discussed English training for candidate students, an essential step to ensure mutual understanding across different regions 🌎.
Established Microsoft Teams as our main tool for communication and progress tracking, crucial when distances are so vast! 👩💻👨💻
Set tentative dates for an in-person meeting in Belgium in the coming months 🌎.
We’re moving forward with lots of enthusiasm and energy, connecting cultures and educating the next generation of sustainable hospitality professionals! 🚀
