Today, as part of the ICP Connect: Beyond the Souvenir: A Multi-Regional Project for Authentic and Sustainable Hospitality Education, a historic online meeting 📢 took place between academic institutions from Belgium, Vietnam, Uganda, and Ecuador.

Representatives from Vives University of Applied Sciences (Belgium), Quy Nhon University (Vietnam), Makerere University Business School and Mountains of the Moon University (Uganda), and Universidad de Cuenca (Ecuador) came together with a clear goal: to co-create a global learning module on sustainable tourism and hospitality. 🌿🏨✨

This course, which will be developed on KU Leuven’s Toledo platform 📚💻, will not only allow students, faculty, and professionals to exchange knowledge and experiences, but it will also serve to strengthen international collaboration and build a global network for sustainable tourism. 💡🌎

Furthermore, this initiative will contribute to the creation of a regional hub, a key space for applied research, strategic partnerships, and the dissemination of innovative educational models. The goal is clear: to train professionals capable of transforming the tourism industry through responsible and sustainable practices. 🌱🌏

With this meeting, the foundation has been laid for a course that is set to become an international benchmark in sustainable hospitality and tourism education. This is fantastic news for both academia and the industry! 🚀🎓🔗
