In an effort to transform lives and enhance the well-being of female students at the University of Cuenca, the Warmi VivaMente project has been launched. This initiative, developed by PREIT-tour, focuses on eradicating gender-based violence and promoting equity, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5: Gender Equality.
🗓️ What is Warmi VivaMente?Warmi VivaMente is a space for support and growth specifically designed for female students from out of town who live alone in Cuenca.
Through activities such as:
🌿 Mindfulness: Techniques to improve mental and emotional well-being.
🧳 Tourism circuits: Promoting a connection with culture and the local environment.
🥗 Healthy eating workshops: Encouraging habits that nurture both body and mind.
💜 Workshops on gender-based violence: Tools for prevention and eradication.
📍 Why is it important?The project aims not only to provide a safe space for women but also to raise awareness about the importance of gender equity at all levels. Warmi VivaMente is a clear example of how local initiatives can contribute to sustainable development by empowering women as agents of change in society.
